Application:
There are two types of butt weld elbow, Butt weld 90 long radius elbow(90 LR elbow) and Butt weld 90 short radius elbow(90 SR elbow).The difference between them is the radius length.
Butt weld short radius 90 elbow is a type of butt weld fittings.
Butt welding fittings are components used to connect pipes by welding.There are virous of butt welding pipe fittings:elbow,tee,cross,reducer and cap etc.,
The key specifications for buttweld fittings are the ASME B16.9 (carbon and alloy fittings) and the MSS SP 43 (that integrates ASME B16.9 for stainless steel, duplex, and nickel alloy BW fittings).
Butt welding fittings can be used at high pressure piping connections.They are strong and have a long service life.Besides they are rather cheap to buy and deploy.
